Department wishes matric candidates well

Pretoria – The Department of Basic Education has wished matric candidates well for their final examinations.

About 4 953 candidates wrote their final examinations in Information Technology this morning.

The 2014 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations kicked off on Monday, when 41 674 candidates sat for Computer Applications Technology (CAT).  

The majority of the 551 588 full time and 138 037 part time candidates will officially begin their examinations on Monday.

According to the department, a total of 444 689 will sit for the English Higher Language as well as First Additional Language (FAL) examination.
