Sunday, November 29, 2015

Pretoria – Grade 12 learners from the Vhembe District in Limpopo will have to rewrite two National Senior Certificate exams after it was discovered that the papers were leaked.

The final matric examination period across the country ended on Friday, 27 November with the writing of Visual Arts and Music Paper 2 Comprehension.

“Learners in Vhembe District are still going to write Life Science Paper 1 on 4 December, while Paper 2 will be written on 8 December in their different examination centres,” the Limpopo Education Department said.

Education MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe has condemned any activities aimed at disturbing the smooth running of education in the province.

The department said plans for the announcement of Grade 12 results are at an advanced stage. The national results will be announced by Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga on 5 January 2016 and the provincial results will be announced on 6 January by MEC Kgetjepe.  – SAnews.gov.za
