Pretoria - The technical committee of the South African Football Association (Safa) will today conclude the interview process to find a new head coach for Bafana Bafana.
Bafana caretaker coach Steve Komphela is the last candidate to face the panel comprising Safa CEO Dr Robin Petersen; Fanayana Sibanyoni, Jomo Sono, Clive Barker, Farouk Khan, Buti Mathathe and Suoane Ramashala.
The other four candidates went through the gruelling process of the interviews after making a presentation to the panel last week. These are former Bafana skipper Neil Tovey, Gavin Hunt, Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba and Gordon Igesund.
The interviews are being conducted under the watchful eye of auditors Ernst & Young.
"The committee was very happy with the whole exercise and once we finish interviewing Steve (Komphela), the process of finding a new coach will almost be complete, with only the approval of the Safa National Executive Committee (NEC) remaining," said Sibanyoni.
