Pretoria - Two men and a woman, aged between 18 and 25, were arrested for possession of drugs during a Saturday morning raid in Atteridgeville.
Spokesperson for the Tshwane Municipality Console Tleane said the hunt was carried out at 2am following information gathered from the community.
The three were arrested during a joint operation between the Tshwane Metro Police and the SAPS Atteridgevile Station.
At least 420 bags of nyaope (a concoction of dagga and cheap heroin) and 20 grams of heroin, R600 cash and six stolen cell-phones were found. Tleane said the total value of the drugs is estimated at R25 000.
The three will appear at the Atteridgeville Magistrate Court on charges of possession of illegal drugs, dealing in drugs, and possession of stolen goods.
