Pretoria - A meeting between the SABC and Parliament's Communications Portfolio Committee to discuss its turnaround strategy has been postponed.
The Committee was scheduled to meet with the board of the SABC today. On Friday, the committee received a formal request from the Department of Communications requesting another postponement.
At last month's meeting, Parliament recommended that the board should present its turnaround strategy and a written report about further progress about the Auditor General's investigation into alleged irregularities at the public broadcaster, at its next meeting.
Other recommendations made by the committee included that the board and its chairman Ben Ngubane should approve a schedule of quarterly board meetings between now and December 2011.
