Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma's State of the Nation Address will be broadcast live over a number of mediums tomorrow to ensure all South Africans get a chance to catch the important event.
The State of the Nation Address is a significant event for the country as Mr Zuma will outline government's programme of action for the next five years.
As there is only limited space in Parliament's public gallery, government has ensured that there are a number of ways to access the speech.
Mr Zuma's address will be broadcast on SABC television as well as its regional radio stations, while the eNews channel will also broadcast the event.
Both stations are expected to cover the event from early on in the morning to capture all the excitement as well as have experts in to analyze what the President says following his address.
Various community radio stations will also broadcast a live feed of the speech and big screens have been set up at public sites, mainly in rural areas, in the various provinces.
Government is also expected to make DVD recordings of the speech to send to South African missions abroad to ensure they learn about the new government's strategy first hand.
Following the State of the Nation Address, the various government departments will hold press briefings to outline how they will carry out President Zuma's vision. These briefings will be captured in a special booklet which will be published by the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS).
Government will also hold "talk to your minister" radio programmes, which will be broadcast to around 60 community radio stations. Members of the public will be able to call a toll free number and ask the ministers questions.
A series of five radio dramas, portraying what government's priorities are, will be produced and disseminated to various stations.
Among the other projects, a photo story booklet will be developed and distributed to local communities.
