Pretoria - Police will continue to keep a close eye on Midrand's Rabie Ridge settlement following Monday's protests.
"The situation is calm but police will continue to monitor the area," Sergeant Joyce Setshedi told BuaNews on Tuesday.
This after residents blockaded roads with burning tyres and rocks in service delivery protests yesterday.
Police at the scene had to fire rubber bullets at the residents and 42 people were arrested.
"The 42 have since been released on a warning," said Setshedi.
