Pretoria - Motorists will from today be paying 18 cents more for a litre of petrol, after the retail price of all grades of petrol increased last night.
A litre of 95 ULP petrol will now cost R8.04 in Gauteng and R7.81 in the coast.
The price of Diesel 0.05 percent Sulphur wholesale increased by 10 cents a litre, while Diesel 0.005 rose by 10 cents a litre.
The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin increased by 5 cents and the single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin increases by 6 cents.
"During the period under review, the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin increased," said the Energy Department.
It said that the average Rand/US Dollar exchange rate strengthened when compared to the previous period.
