Pretoria - Police are investigating the cause of the crash which left Deputy Minister of Human Settlements Zoe Kota and her driver injured and two others killed.
The accident occurred in Leeu Gamka in the Karoo yesterday afternoon.
Western Cape police spokesperson David de Klerk said the cause of the accident is unknown.
He told BuaNews that the two people killed in the bakkie were a father and son travelling from Cape Town.
Kota sustained minor injuries while her driver is believed to be in a satisfactory condition in hospital.
Meanwhile, nine people were killed and 15 others injured when a bus and a taxi collided head-on at the R61 near Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape this morning.
Arrive Alive provincial spokesperson Tshepo Machaea told BuaNews that law enforcement agencies are on the scene to establish the cause of the accident.
