Simon's Town - People from across the country are expected to be drawn to Cape Town at the end of the month to attend the annual Simon's Town Navy Festival, hosted by the South African Navy.
The four-day SA Navy festival, which starts on 26 March, has become a highlight on Cape Town's entertainment calendar over the years.
According to the Navy, some of the highlights of this year's festival will include the Drydock concert hosted by the acclaimed SA Navy Band on 26 March.
Other highlights of the festival include the Freedom of Entry Parade and a spectacular night gunnery shoot from Lower North Gun Battery on 28 March.
The gates will be opened to the public on 27 and 29 March from 10am to 6pm daily and entrance at the gates and all entertainment will be free.
There will also be free access to most of the SA Navy vessels, while guided tours will allow members of the public to step onboard these vessels.
The public will also be able to enjoy various static displays, free tug boat rides, food stalls, free children's entertainment, a flea market and more.
Various arena events such as dog shows, fire fighting displays and gun run displays will also entertain the visitors.
The Retreat Ceremony will conclude the Navy Festival on 29 March.
