Pretoria - International air defence experts are expected to arrive in South Africa next week for the two-day South African Joint Air Defence Symposium (SAJADS) hosted by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
The military event takes place every two years under the auspices of Chief Joint Operations of the SANDF, facilitated by ARMSCOR, the Armaments Corporation of South Africa.
The event will see members of the air defence fraternity exchanging information and ideas on requirements, technology and solutions, both on a formal and an informal basis. Papers will be presented by expert guest speakers from Botswana, Germany, India and Italy.
The theme for this year is "Joint Air Defence in Operations other than War".
The primary focus is to promote regional peace, stability and security, and to provide support to the people of South Africa.
