Rustenburg - An ecstatic Bafana Bafana coach Joel Santana is looking for nothing but a win against European Champions Spain, when the two sides clash in their crucial FIFA Confederations Cup game in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
South Africa will need to beat Spain if it wants to remain in the running for the title.
Speaking at a post-match media briefing last night, Santana said given the confidence shown by his boys on the field, he was more convinced of a victory against the Spanish.
"We are not worried about the fact that Spain are number one in the world. For us its for our team to play with maturity and we looking for a win.
"We respect Spain and I think South Africa will have a good game," said Santana's interpreter on behalf of the coach.
Bafana played very well against New Zealand but could have had more goals but this did not worry the coach as the quality of play was more important to him.
"I think we are on the right track and now we need to go back to the drawing board and evaluate our strategy," said Santana.
Bafana striker Bernard Parker, who scored the two goals that gave the national team its needed victory, was also as optimistic.
"I think we played very well and I would like to thank my team mates and my coach for the confidence they showed in me," said Parker, who was also named last night's "man of the match."
"It's a great feeling to be "man of the match" because after committing a mistake on our previous game, I have decided to put that behind me and it helped," he said.
Meanwhile, New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert said he was looking forward to his game against Iraq.
"After being defeated by South Africa we now need to go back and evaluate where we went wrong," said Herbert.
He admitted his boys were outplayed by Bafana Bafana. "We knew from the beginning of the match that South Africa will be aggressive.
"But in football, these things happen. We just have to spot our mistakes and fix them," said Hebert.
