Zuma appoints alternate member of the JSC

Pretoria - Following nomination by the legal profession to represent the Attorney’s profession, President Jacob Zuma has appointed Jan Stemmet as an alternate member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

“We wish to congratulate Stemmet on being appointed to the JSC and wish him well in the execution of his duties,” said President Zuma on Monday.

Stemmet, who is also a co-chair of the South African Law Society, takes his position with effect from 1 October, according to the Presidency. - SAnews.gov.za
