ANC nets 59.7% of counted votes

Pretoria - By 9am the African National Congress was leading in the votes with over 2 870 576 (59.72%) nationally.

They were followed by the DA with 1 276 514 (26.56%) and EFF with 204 856 (4.26%).

The IFP was at number four with 101 654 (2.12%) votes, followed by NFP by 72 568 (1.51%).

At number six was the VF PLUS with 54 833 (1.14%) followed by UDM at 47967 (1.00%).

Cope has managed to gather 39 573 (0.82%), ACDP 29 482 (0.61%), PAC at 8898 (0.19%) and Agang had 9 943 (0.21%).

According to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), 7 882 or (35.4%) of 22 263 voting districts have been counted thus far. - SAnews.gov.za
