Pretoria - Police have confirmed that they have arrested the fourth suspect linked to the murder of Mozambican national Emmanuel Sithole over the weekend.
He was arrested by the police overnight.
Three other men believed to be involved in beating and stabbing the 35-year-old to death were arrested in Alexandra on Monday with help from the community.
"We are happy that the community is saying no to crime and we hope they will keep coming forward," SA Police Service spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said.
Reports indicate that Sithole was approached by the suspects, who took his goods without paying and thereafter an argument ensued before he was stabbed.
The events of the stabbing were captured by Sunday Times photographer James Oatway, who was on an assignment on Saturday. The brutal images, which show Sithole being attacked while pleading for his life, have sparked a nationwide reaction.
The four suspects are due to appear in court today. - SAnews.gov.za
