Pretoria - Provincial Chairperson for South African Local Government Association (SALGA) in Limpopo, Mogobo Magabe, has called on all South Africans to support a campaign against the recent spate of attacks on foreign nationals.
“The attacks are not welcome. We want peaceful communities,” said Magabe.
Limpopo SALGA on Wednesday said it condemns in the strongest possible terms the incidents of attacks on foreign nationals that have taken place.
“The world is looking at us and the recent incidents have a high and negative impact in derailing what has been achieved in the local government sector because they happen in the local government space. This has a bearing in terms of local government stability,” the provincial office said. - SAnews.gov.za
