Pretoria - Water outages in Agisang and Sannieshof in the North West have been resolved and water supply is now fully restored, said the Department of Water and Sanitation.
This, after the pumping of water had stopped as a result of a shortage of diesel and an operator not reporting for duty.
The Department of Water and Sanitation restored the water supply and everyone started receiving water as of Friday.
In the area of Kroonstad in the Free State, 14 boreholes are still operational, pumping water into the network.
Additionally, 24 water tankers in the area continue to provide support.
“The department will continue to render support to municipalities in need and ensure that service delivery continues,” the department said.
Meanwhile, the pollution which posed a threat in Wolmaranstad and Vals rivers in Bothaville has also been cleaned up and the rivers remain potential sources for other interventions in the North West. - SAnews.gov.za
