Pretoria - The price for all grades of petrol is set to increase by 28 cents, the Energy Department said on Friday.
This will make a litre of petrol go up to R11.23 cents in Gauteng and R10.93 in the coast.
The increases come into effect next Wednesday, 7 March.
The cost of diesel will go up by 10 cents a litre.
The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin is set to go up by 4 cents and a litre of illuminating paraffin (SMNRP) is set to increase by 5 cents.
There will also be a 36 cents per kilogram increase in the maximum retail price for LPGAS.
"During the period under review, the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin increased," said the Energy Department.
In February, the petrol price rose by 34 cents.
