Pretoria - Former President Thabo Mbeki will not be able to attend the State of the Nation Address on Thursday.
Mbeki's office has informed Parliament that he is leading an African Union High-level Panel on Sudan and will be conducting negotiations between South and North Sudan in Addis Ababa.
The negotiations will take place from 9 to 14 February.
President Jacob Zuma will deliver the State of the Nation Address during a joint sitting of the National Council of Provinces and the National Assembly on Thursday at 7pm.
