Pretoria - Cabinet has noted that an "overwhelming majority" of the national departments have received unqualified reports.
Cabinet spokesperson Jimmy Manyi said on Thursday the Auditor-General tabled his report during an ordinary Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. The report focused on government's progress on financial and non-financial matters.
He said while the report will be made available to the public in November, it was noted that 67 percent of the national departments received unqualified reports, albeit with findings.
"Cabinet was encouraged to progress from this position towards a clean audit," said Manyi.
The report will be made available to the public during November 2011.
