Cabinet has urged the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) to consider piloting the eDisclosure system for municipalities.
This as Cabinet received a report of the completion of lifestyle audits by members of the Senior Management Service (SMS) in the public service.
“Cabinet was briefed on the progress with the completion of e-Disclosures by members of the SMS and commended the progress that included full compliance by 147 out of a total 160 national and provincial departments and noted investigations underway for the non-compliant members, " Minister in The Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said on Thursday in Pretoria, during a media briefing, following Cabinet's regular meeting on Wednesday.
The system is used by designated employees to disclose their financial interests.
In June 2021, the Minister for the Public Service and Administration issued a Directive on other categories of employees designated to disclose their financial interests and the form, date, and financial interests to be disclosed.
In January 2018, the Minister issued a Directive on the form to be used by SMS members and heads of departments to disclose their financial interests.
In terms of the two Directives, designated employees must use the electronic (eDisclosure) system to disclose their financial interests
