Pretoria - Free tickets to the 2010 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women Championship will be available today at Computicket, Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper outlets countrywide.

While entry to the match venues will be free, spectators will need to enter the stadium with pre-printed tickets as part of the tournament's safety and access control regulations.

Tickets will be released in different phases during the course of the tournament which runs from 31 October to 14 November.

For any particular ticketing phase, spectators can collect a maximum of four tickets for any match day in that phase.

Senior Media Officer, Samuel Modiba, from the Ekurhuleni Municipality, where the tournament will take place, said tickets were complimentary and unaccompanied minors would not be issued with match tickets.

For the Daveyton's Sinaba Stadium, 20 000 tickets will be issued per match day, while at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa 10 000 tickets will be issued per match day. On match days when there are double headers at Sinaba Stadium, only one ticket will be issued and spectators will be able to attend both games.

Phases and dates of tickets for group matches will be released today while tickets for the semi-finals will be released on 8 to 11 November.

Tickets for the third place and final match will be released on 12 to 14 November.

The tournament will kick-off with the opening match between Banyana Banyana and Tanzania at Sinaba stadium on Sunday at 1pm. Two of the eight African teams who will make it to the tournament finals will qualify for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany.
