Pretoria - With just 30 days to go before the kick-off of the world's biggest soccer event on African soil, there is no question that the country is ready to host a spectacular and memorable extravaganza.

With their vuvuzelas already blaring, South Africans young and old are fully behind Bafana Bafana.

Mbono Hlombe from Port Shepstone said he is already counting down the weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds to the kick-off.

"We have started blowing the vuvuzelas and kuduzelas creating a sweet melody that echoes one song that unites Africa from the Cape Peninsula to the mouth of the majestic Nile River. We are just less than a month away to the historic moment and everyone is talking World Cup," Hlombe said.

A proudly South African and Bafana Bafana supporter, Thabile Maphanga from Pietermaritzburg, said she was excited about the world cup and feels that it is here.

"I have two South African flags in my car, a Bafana Bafana jersey, a makalaba in the back of my car and a South African vuvuzela in the dashboard of my car," said an elated Maphanga.

Lesetja Moholoa from Limpopo said he cannot wait to see his favourite teams competing on the African soil.

"I'm looking forward to the event and have bought a Bafana Bafana jersey and vuvuzela, I'm just ready for the first whistle in June," Moholoa said.

Thembinkosi Khumalo from Durban said he cannot wait to watch the four first round games to be played in Durban.

"It is an opportunity to see footballer s playing in Europe and I want to be able to say I was there," Khumalo said.
Mokgadi Seepe from Soweto encouraged people to use the tournament to market the country and show a united front by supporting Bafana Bafana.

"If we give them a good impression about our country, they will come back again for visit," she said.
