Kewell gets one match ban

Pretoria - Australian winger, Harry Kewell, will miss out on his team's final group stage match against Serbia on June 23, in Nelspruit, after FIFA's disciplinary committee gave him a one match ban.

Kewell handled the ball on the goal-line to deny Ghana a goal last Saturday at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.

As a result, he breached article 48 paragraph 1 b) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC) by denying the Black Stars a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

"The suspension shall be served in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa match between Australia and Serbia on 23 June 2010," said FIFA in a statement.
