Bafana fixture against Colombia sold out

Pretoria- All tickets for Bafana Bafana's 2010 FIFA World Cup tune-up international friendly against Colombia at Soccer City Stadium this evening are sold out.

According to the South African Football Association (Safa) a total of 75 000 match tickets had been sold by Wednesday afternoon. Kick-off for today's match is 8:35pm.

Today's fixture against Colombia will not only help head coach, Carlos Alberto Parreira, prepare his side for the upcoming World Cup, but it will also help him asses players and determine who will be part of his squad for the soccer spectacular.

Parreira is expected to trim his 29-man squad to 23 on May 31. However, FIFA has given all the 32 participating teams a deadline of June 1 to submit their list of 23 players.

The Brazilian born coach is also expected to integrate his local and European based players during today's game.

The European based players are skipper, Aaron Mokoena, Benni McCarthy and Steven Pienaar.

Bafana is also set to play against Guatemala at the Peter Mokaba stadium in Limpopo on May 31
