Bafana fixture against Thailand sold out

Pretoria - All tickets for Bafana Bafana's 2010 FIFA World Cup tune-up international friendly against Thailand at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday are sold out.

Kick-off of the match that will be used to officially open the Mbombela stadium is at 3pm.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup venue will accommodate 30 000 fans for Bafana's fixture against Thailand which failed to qualify for the upcoming global show piece.

SAFA communication manager Morio Sanyane said the last tickets were purchased just after 4pm on Tuesday.

He said the Mbombela municipality will also use the match to introduce Park and Ride to transport match ticket holders to the stadium.

The Park and Ride venues are Hoerskool Nelspruit, Valencia Park Sportsground, Laerskool Nelspruit, Nelspruit Rugby club, Riverside Mall and Nelspruit Showgrounds.

Sanyane also urged soccer fans to arrive early at the Park and Ride venues to enable a smooth transportation process to the stadium.

Bafana will swing back into action on 24 May against Bulgaria. They will then take on Columbia three days later. The World Cup hosts will then test their skills against Denmark on 5 June.
