Pretoria - Banyana Banyana will this morning visit Daveyton to garner support ahead of the crucial 2010 CAF African Women Championship opening match against Tanzania on Sunday.
The women's national team will arrive at Daveyton Mall on an open bus at 2pm and drive around the township through Mocke, Eiselen Streets via Etwatwa and back to the mall.
The tour is part of a mass mobilisation road show aimed at drumming up support for the team who hopes to book a place at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany.
Banyana supporters will be treated by local artist's performance at the mall, while information about ticketing and match schedules will be distributed.
The host nation's match against Tanzania's Twiga Stars at 1pm on Sunday heralds the start of a tournament which will see the eight participating teams compete for continental glory.
The tournament to be played within the area of jurisdiction of Ekurhuleni Municipality will run until 14 November.
