Pretoria – South Africans have been invited to pay their respects to the late Minister of Public Service and Administration, Collins Chabane, by signing the condolence books which will be placed at various sites across the country.
The Presidency said on Monday that condolence books will be placed at:
- the Union Buildings, Government Avenue, Pretoria
- Tuynhuys, Cape Town
- the Parliament of South Africa ,Cape Town
- the Department of Public Service and Administration, Johannes Ramokhoase Street, Pretoria
- Office of the Premier, Polokwane
Minister Chabane and his two protectors, Sergeants Lesiba Sekele and Lawrence Lentsoane, died in a vehicle crash on the N1 in Polokwane on Sunday morning. Their car reportedly collided with a truck.
President Jacob Zuma visited the Chabane family home in Pretoria this morning, saying it was difficult to accept what had happened.
