Pretoria - North West MEC for Human Settlements, Desbo Mohono, has wished matriculants the best as they sit for their final examinations.
"I am confident that many of our learners will do well, despite some of the challenges we experienced during the course of the year. Their sheer hard work will no doubt see them through", said Mohono, who is himself a qualified teacher.
He had earlier in the year encouraged learners to start concentrating on their lessons from day one as this would assist them to produce good results at the end of the year.
Mohono urged members of the community to play their part to help the schools and learners to do well. "I call upon all patriots to join government in a partnership to make all our schools succeed, and to help keep the doors of learning and culture wide open for all our children."
He added that those who did not pass should not despair by rather try harder next time.
