Pretoria - Motorists can breathe a little easier as the petrol price will come down by between 33 and 31 cents a litre next week.
The cost of 93 ULP and LRP will come down by 33 cents a litre, and that of 95 ULP and LRP will decrease by 31 cents as of next Wednesday, said the Energy Department on Friday.
A litre of petrol in Gauteng will cost R9.92 and R9.62 at the coast.
The price of diesel 0.05 percent sulphur will decrease by 11 cents, while that of diesel 0.005 percent sulphur will fall by 12 cents a litre.
The price of wholesale paraffin will come down by 12 cents and that of illuminating paraffin (SMNRP) will decrease by 16 cents.
The maximum retail price for LPGAS will decrease by 42 cents per kilogram.
"During the period under review, the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin decreased," said the department.
