Pretoria - Free State MEC Dan Kgothule, who was caught speeding at 235 kilometres per hour, has been found guilty of a charge of reckless and negligent driving.
Kgothule, who is the MEC for Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Monday.
"He admitted guilt and was found guilty. He will be sentenced tomorrow," police spokesperson Captain Harry Nagel said.
Kgothule is currently out on bail of R2 000.
He was arrested last Thursday after he was caught speeding in his BMW on the N1 freeway in Glen, outside Bloemfontein.
