President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to undertake a District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo in eThekwini next week to assess service delivery and engage with members of the community.
The DDM Presidential Imbizo will be attended by the President and leaders from all three spheres of government under the theme: “Enhancing cooperative governance and integrated delivery”.
The DDM Presidential Imbizo programme allows government to interact with residents on service delivery issues and set out plans for development in the area. It remains a key focus area for government and will continue from strength to strength under the Government of National Unity.
The DDM Presidential Imbizo is an important public participation platform that ensures the voices and perspectives of communities are heard.
It also allows citizens to engage directly with government on issues that hamper service delivery.
Izimbizo enables the identification of economic opportunities that uplift communities.
