Pretoria - The Presidency says former President Nelson Mandela on Tuesday arrived at his home in Qunu in the Eastern Cape.
President Jacob Zuma had announced on Monday that Madiba would return to Qunu.
"Madiba is in good health and we constantly assure him of the love, support and good wishes of millions of South Africans and people around the world," said President Zuma.
Over the past few months, Mandela's Qunu house was being refurbished and as a result, he relocated to his Houghton home during that period.
"The Presidency requests that the privacy of Madiba and his family be respected during this period," said the high office in a statement.
