Mashatile will commemorate Harvest Day at the Remmoho Investment in Agriculture Farm in Bethlehem on Thursday, 27 February.
According to a statement from the Deputy President’s Office, the event will highlight key milestones in agricultural development, underscoring government’s dedication to fostering an inclusive agricultural sector and creating job opportunities within the community.
As chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Agriculture and Land Reform, the Deputy President will meet with approximately 400 local farmers, agricultural stakeholders and commodity organisations.
“During his visit, the Deputy President will witness firsthand the investments in apple export and processing facilities in the province, which showcases the innovative efforts to enhance agricultural production and support local farmers, especially black farmers, in growing production,” the statement read.
