Pretoria - Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale is expected to highlight the successes and challenges in the implementation of government programmes during this State of the Province Address tomorrow.
In line with President Jacob Zuma's State of the Nation Address, the premier is also expected to shed some light on how the government will deal with the issue of job creation in the province.
Speaker of the Limpopo Legislature, Rudolph Phala, said Mathale's deliberation will put more emphasis on what was outlined by Zuma in his State of the Nation Address on education, crime and corruption, health and rural development.
"In his address, the President (Zuma) made reference to provinces such as Limpopo as key areas for rural development programmes and the fight against poverty. For instance, areas such as Muyexe and Ga-Kgahla are some of the areas where these government programmes will focus on - but that does not mean other rural areas should be neglected, this is a programme on course," said Phala.
Zuma indicated that infrastructure development would be intensified in order to boost the agricultural sector in creating jobs.
