Pretoria - The cold weather and snowfall in some parts of the country is expected to continue tomorrow, says the South African Weather Services.

A cold front has gripped the country and temperatures dropped to below freezing overnight, resulting in snowfall in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

South African Weather Services forecaster Jan Vermeulen said South Africans, particularly those in the eastern and central interior, could expect the very cold weather to continue on Wednesday.

More snowfall was expected overnight over the eastern and southern interior of the country.

However, the weather is expected to warm up in time for Women's Day on Thursday.
