Pretoria – The North West Provincial Legislature will on Monday host the Youth Sectoral Parliament which will be a platform for young people to raise their concerns regarding unemployment.
The youth parliament will be held under the theme, “Youth Taking South Africa Forward”.
The Deputy Minister of Communication, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, will deliver an address to the Youth Sectoral Parliament at the North West Legislature on the overview of government youth programmes and initiatives.
As part of the mandate of the newly formed Department of Communications, the Deputy Minister will also have an engagement with local media and communicators.
The newly formed department has been tasked with overarching communication policy and strategy, information dissemination and publicity as well as branding of the country abroad.
Over 100 stakeholders from youth league structures of political parties in the legislature; student organisations in universities in the province; unemployed young people; Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) and young people from four districts in the province will also attend the event. – SAnews.gvov.za
