Pretoria - South African motorists will be able to breathe a sigh of relief next week - as petrol and paraffin prices are to drop.
The cost of petrol 93 ULP and LRP will drop by 39 cents a litre as of next Wednesday, the Department of Minerals and Energy announced on Friday.
Motorists will pay 40 cents less a litre for 95 ULP and LRP.
The price of Diesel 0.05 percent Sulphur wholesale will fall by 32.5 cents a litre, while Diesel 0.005 will decrease by 33.5 cents a litre.
The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin is to decrease by 27.5 cents and the Single Maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin will fall by 37 cents a litre.
Last month, the petrol price increased by 36 cents a litre.
