The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) has announced a train service for the Emirates Lions vs DHL Stormers rugby game taking place this weekend at the Emirates Airline Park (Ellis Park Stadium) in Johannesburg.

This service will run at 15-minute intervals from Park Station to the stadium and back from 11am on Saturday, 15 February.

The last Metrorail train from Ellis Park will be at 6:45pm.

Rugby fans are encouraged to make use of public modes of transport, e-hailing services or the Gautrain to Park Station. The last Gautrain departs Park Station at 8:30pm.

There will be limited paid parking at Park Station for those who choose to use their private vehicles.

The three-minute journey to and from the Emirates Airline Park will cost R20 for a return trip and can be purchased online via Ticketpro for the convenience of spectators. Gautrain tickets must be purchased separately from Gautrain.

PRASA said it is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transport solutions for all South Africans.

Fans are urged to buy their train tickets early online at www.ticketpro.co.za and at any station kiosks in Gauteng. -SAnews.gov.za
