Pretoria - Defence Minister Lindiwe Sisulu will respond to media queries related to the South African National Defence Force's involvement in the festive season crime-fighting operations soon, says the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS).
Sisulu, who is currently at the Cabinet Lekgotla in Bela Bela, is aware of media enquires about the role of the SANDF alongside the police in crime-fighting, Government Communications said in a statement.
"The minister regrets that she is unable to deal with these questions at this time, but says media would be welcome to ask her about this matter immediately after the Lekgotla, which ends on Friday, or during the series of media briefings that will follow the 9 February State of the Nation Address by the President," it added.
