Soccer City parking tickets on sale

Pretoria - Parking tickets for the international friendly between Bafana Bafana and Ghana at Soccer City tonight are available at Computicket.

South African Football Association (Safa) Director of Communications and Media, Morio Sanyane, said parking tickets for the general public are priced at R15, while the VIP parking is R50.

Sanyane said gates will open at 17:00, while rapper, JR, who is popularly known for his smash hit, "Make the circle bigger" and 999 artists will start mesmerising soccer fans from 19:00. The match kicks-off at 20:35.

He said Safa has arranged Metrorail trains from Springs and Pretoria, three from Johannesburg Park Station, West Rand and Soweto to commute fans to the match venue, adding that ticket match holders will board the trains free to Soccer City.

The City of Joburg will also use its Rea Vaya buses to get soccer fans to the crucial international friendly.

City of Joburg spokesman, Nthatise Modingoane said Rea Vaya would be running additional buses to ticket match holders from both Soweto and Johannesburg starting from 16:30. Tickets cost R12.

He said there will be buses travelling to the match venue every five minutes before the match at Ellis Park, Thokoza Park and Conhill. The last bus will depart from Thokoza and Ellis Park stations to the match venue at 20:00.

After the match, buses will take fans to their respective destinations starting from 22:20. Fans should go to the Soccer City stations, north of the stadia on the Soweto highway and south of the stadia at the Nasrec station, to catch the buses.

The city will not be arranging park and rides for fans.
