Three Corrections officers killed in car crash

Pretoria - Correctional Services Minister Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed his condolences to the families of the three Eastern Cape Correctional Officials, who were killed in a car accident this morning.

Eastern Cape Correctional Services representatives say the three officials, who were based at the Correctional Services SADA Management Area office in Queenstown, were en route to a meeting at St. Albans Correctional Centre in Port Elizabeth when the crash occurred just after 8am on the N2, approximately 70km from Port Elizabeth.

"On behalf of the Correctional Services family, we want to convey our sincere condolences to the families and colleagues of the three officials killed in a motor vehicle collision this morning.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with them all during these difficult moments," Ndebele said. – SAnews.gov.za
