Pretoria - The stage is set as 16 teams continue to arrive for the final battle to lift the coveted trophy of the Orange African Nations Championship South Africa 2014, set to begin from 11 January till 1 February 2014.
On Monday, the LOC announced the arrival of Zimbabwe for the Orange CHAN 2014. The Southern African team descended on South African soil at 8:45am at the OR Tambo International Airport.
Making their third appearance at this tournament, the Warriors prepare to battle it out in a tough Group B showdown that boasts Morocco, Uganda and Burkina Faso, all set to be played at the Athlone Stadium.
Zimbabwe kicks off their campaign on Sunday, 12 January against Morocco at the Athlone Stadium at 5pm.
This brings the total of the teams in the country to 7 with the arrival of Mali, Libya, Gabon, DRC, Mauritania and hosts South Africa.
Orange CHAN 2014, to be hosted in South Africa from 11 January to 1 February 2014, takes place in Cape Town for Group A and B at Cape Town Stadium and Athlone Stadium respectively, and in Mangaung for Group C at the Free State Stadium, as well as in Polokwane for Group D at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Fans are reminded that today is the beginning of the Phase 2 Ticket Discount period offering up to 15% discount for tickets bought between 6 January to 18 January 2014.
