Rio de Janeiro - Brazilian police confirmed the Thursday school shooting in Rio de Janeiro has shot about 10 people dead and injured at least 15 others.
A gunman entered a school on Thursday and opened fire, according to the Globo television network citing a spokesperson for the Rio Military Police as saying.
According to media reports, police officers were patrolling in neighboring areas around the school when a schoolboy with wounds on his face approached them for help.
The shooter apparently was a graduate of the school. He used two revolvers in his killing spree, reportedly reloading his weapons often.
He is said to have shot himself in the head. - BuaNews-Xinhua
